![]() I realize these games have equal playing fields in regards to gear, but the gear discrepancy isn't the only thing holding people down lol. If you're good enough you can push past that "hell". Just like those people who whine about ELO hell in DoTA, LoL or even OW. I know it sucks to get stomped on or face players that are "boosting" but in my experience PvPing all these years, you're stuck at that rating because that's where you belong. Gladiator players on the other hand who can't hit R1 are free to tank their rating, play alts, or try to boost with friends. In regards to R1 players, they just sit on their rating for an entire season, while they make new characters. Another big issue is that there are very few reasons for R1 players or people who have already obtained gladiator to play games around where they belong. Parts of this will be solved next patch when you remove PvE players (who really don't want to PvP anyways) from the pool, making the pool of potential boosting candidates a lot smaller. I'm not sure why people think boosting hasn't existed prior to this expansion. You know where I hear that exact line? Every single game you listed (whether it be FPS or a MOBA) where people make excuses for why they're stuck at certain brackets, and how if they just had some great luck they would be where they truly belong. I realize every team is going to have this problem, but it just lays the grounds for people complaining about how they're stuck in "ELO HELL" and they would be way higher if they didn't get matched with retards. Solo queue in arena would just feel bad when you get matched with people that literally don't mix well with the class you play and/or compositions that require a minimal amount of setup are ruined at times due to lack of communication. Having a mix of different DPS with certain healers is a far less frustrating experience as opposed to being paired in a solo queue arena with something that isn't "meta" or just doesn't work with your class. I'd make the argument that this would be much better suited in RBGs specifically because every single class can usually shine in RBGs and the way the game plays is just way different. I don't think it solves anything at all ( at least in regards to arena). People think a solo queue would magically solve everything in arena and people latch onto it because streamers and PvP personalities push this idea making it seem like it would be great, when in reality they just want it for content to stream. ![]() WoW isn't anywhere close to the games you listed. Im up for solo q but only for rbgs, arenas are too complex, it would promote op specs even more. Not sure but I probably probably longer leveling with solid calm/chill end game, than part-time contract with video game just to keep char up to date multiplied by amount of alts Pvp gearing is horrible, but at least we have vendors so its like heaven and hell compared to bfa, but its still bad compared to wod or mop, i rather see wotlk/tbc systems than this but w/e, tbc is coming soon, no more torghast, maw/stygia, infinite honor farm, Solo queue would revive it.conquest points are given for free if u are playing, just a few weekly activities and u are fully capped without even playing single ranked game which is pretty sadĪrena/rbg should give more conquest than casual weekly quest, it's so obnoxious that its better and easier to just do weekly oribos quests and play daily bg for win than doing ranked games, it would fix the problem u are describing - if u have huge conuqest cap because of catch up, you could easier get it capped via rbg/ratedarenasĪnother story is honor points, why the hell would i waste dozens of hours farming honor to upgrade my conquest gear when i managed to get my rating and i was holding cp for weeks? like 1 month for a weapon then 30k honor or sth to fully upgrade it How is this "better for the game" than letting people solo queue those maps? You had it your way since Cata, Ranked BGs without solo queue will stay dead as long as it does not give better/faster gear than 3v3 arena. Look at games like League of Legends, Overwatch, CS:GO, Valorant, BRs (?). This is how you get new players invested in the game. In most other TEAM focused games, the MAIN MODE is a solo queue mode. ![]() While I don't speak against this change, it's another step against the solo PvP players. ![]() Meaning you need to maintain your rating and can't just get boosted. In 9.1 you have to have the rating required to upgrade your gear the same week you upgrade it.
